Job Description:
This is an opportunity to be a part of the Delivery Team within BigTapp. As the company works with customers on key data projects, the team works with them on several initiatives to bridge the gap between Business and Data.
As the company embarks on key data projects, we are seeking for an experienced Data Project Manager to lead, manage and drive the successful delivery of data initiatives within budget, scope and timeline.
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the completion of the data workstream project tasks while ensuring the project is on time, on budget, and within scope.
• Owns the project plan for data workstream.
• Monitor and track progress of data related project tasks and activities based on overall project plan.
• Work closely with central PMO team to schedule project activities for data workstream.
• Coordinate project activities between the customer’s internal (Business and IT teams) and external (Vendor) to ensure completion of activities in line with the project plan.
• Lead/Coordinate workshops and working sessions to gather business requirements, data mapping (ETL mapping) and data validation.
• Effectively communicate on the progress and status of the project tasks.
• Perform constant health-checks of the project with stakeholders, identify, report, and propose mitigation approaches for risks to project deliverables and timelines.
• Adept in using MS Project to plan and/or JIRA for project management.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to step into the details (e.g., data mapping, data validation) when needed to resolve impediments while retaining full visibility of end-to-end view of project.
• Strong project management, vendor management, change management and facilitation skills.
• Highly organised, adaptable, meticulous with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to follow- through.
• Sharp analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform, and always work with a customer focused approach.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders and vendors to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications, business processes and business requirement analysis.
• Work experience in regulatory reporting projects such as IFRS 4, IFRS 17, BCBS 239 etc. is added advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.) and ETL processes is added advantage.
Experience/ Skills:
• 5-8 years’ experience as project manager in data intensive projects
• A proven track record of successfully delivering at least Two Business intelligence/Data Lake/Analytics or Data warehousing project.
• A proven track record of successfully leading and delivering at least 2 applications / systems implementation projects in Financial, Insurance or Banking industries.
